WordPress Seeks to Gather Plugin Compatibility Data.
WordPress always recommends that bloggers graduate to the latest its release without wasting any time so as to avoid any security loopholes. But users have been skeptical of WordPress compatibility of their existing plugins. So they tend to delay the upgrade.
WordPress has been aware of this issue and to enable users to upgrade fast, WordPress has come up with a new compatibility feature which will act as some sort of confidence building measure for users to decide and select the upgrade.
Whenever a plugin is being viewed, one can select its version and the WordPress version from the respective dropdown menus. In case earlier users have voted for the Plugin and its new version, the consensus in red and green will decide whether one should go ahead or not.
WordPress is at present in the data gathering mode and would like plugin users to vote for all the plugins in the WordPress versions bloggers are using and not to exercise any option on the broken links.
WordPress aims to provide its users with complete data on plugins in their latest versions.
