The Windows XP software released some eight years ago was a great product from Microsoft stable and continues to satisfy billions of users even today. Although the release of Windows 7 after the near disastrous launch of Vista was supposed to replace XP but it appears that support will continue to be provided for XP for the next five years, until 2014.
This support will include updates as well as security patches. Many people are mulling whether it is the time to say good bye to Windows XP and move to Windows 7. For most, the answer is probably no, unless you are also upgrading your computer. Newer PCs will likely be made with Windows 7 and all its capabilities in mind. For one thing, new operating systems are really a pain to install. Of course, the first question is actually whether or not your computer can run the new system. After all of that, you will have to install all your programs. This is painstaking work even when you have all the proper elements to do so. Meanwhile, if your old applications are working just fine and, for the most part, you are comfortable with XP then please continue with the Most Stable OS from Microsoft Stable.
The best reason not to make the switch yet is that there are always problems with new operating systems just waiting to be found. Stick with your XP for now and let the bugs, if any be debugged. There will be later releases that will be more reliable.XP has been the main Windows operating system for more than eight years for a reason. It is a great piece of software. Since Microsoft will continue supporting it for five years, you have time to make the switch. Within that time, you may well purchase a new computer with the latest Windows 7 installed. And no doubt your new PC would be more efficient to handle the load of your new operating system. So guys have patience and just wait for the opportune to arrive which may not be right now.
