Windows Live Writer Equivalent in Ubuntu.
Blogging has today become very common. Persons from all walks of life blog today. While most of bloggers resort to Windows Live Writer while working on Windows OS but Linux users are not that lucky. There is certainly no comparable equivalent in real terms as far WLW is concerned but there are many alternatives which can be resorted to. One such blog writer is ScribeFire which is available as add-on and extension in Chrome and Firefox.
As regards simple blogging is concerned this is quite effective and opens out quite fast. It has virtually the same look as that WordPress platform but it provides additional flexibility of can be offline and adding/managing multiple blogs from single interface.
There are some forums on Ubuntu where discussions have taken place regarding installation of Windows Live Writer using Wine. But the end result has not yet been ascertained. It’s true that Windows Live Writer needs DotNet framework to make it run and even after configuring and installing it on Wine the performance is not that stable. So it is better to use ScribeFire on Ubuntu.
