Solar PV market to grow fast.
IMS Research predicts that the global PV market will double in 2010 to reach a massive 14.6 GW. The analysis is based on research on PV as well as Invertor industry. Inverter is a crucial link in development of Solar PV market and analysis of previous years suggest that Inverter industry is throttling the growth of Solar PV segment.
Worldwide demand may be pretty high but installers are unable to tie up Inverters from the market. The year 2009 saw massive investments in EU market with Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic contributing about 77 percent to this growth. The year 2010 would see Germany once again hogging the limelight by accounting 47% of the growth in SPV market.
But after 2010, demand may shift to US and Asian markets Chinese, India and North America leading the charge. In 2010, the top three markets – Germany, Italy and Czech Republic are predicted to install a combined 9.8 GW of new PV capacity. Look below for Indian market update.
