Run Wine on Ubuntu for Windows Applications.
Wine makes you run Windows software programs on Linus OS like Ubuntu. Wine is still under development and there are many millions of people who have installed Wine on their computers. Wine 1.2 is a stable edition while Wine 1.3 is still under Beta. There are many applications which are listed under Platinum, Gold and Silver category. 
Today as per the estimates about 95% of the users world over are on Windows OS. Linux and Mac OS forms rest of the population. Excessive reliability on Windows OS has made the community sit up and realize about the importance of finding credible and stable alternatives to Windows. Though Linux and Mac present credible alternatives but their reach is limited. Linux today is getting promoted by users community and some with commercial interests. If you are a normal user you don’t need Wine. But if you are in to software development and coding and are accustomed to using apps like Dreamweaver 8 then installation of Wine is the answer.
