Open AUTOCAD and PHOTOSHOP files in Google Docs
There is one resource on the web which is always evolving. Google Docs is one such utility which has kept pace with the changing times and have adopted new platforms for its versatility. The file formats which can be viewed inside Google Docs, without conversion, include Photoshop (PSD), Illustrator (AI), Fonts (TTF), AutoCAD drawings (DXF) and Office 2010 documents (like DOCX, XLSX and PPTX).
Google Docs has announced that it is now supporting following 12 file type extensions.
- Microsoft Excel (.XLS and .XLSX)
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 / 2010 (.PPTX)
- Apple Pages (.PAGES)
- Adobe Illustrator (.AI)
- Adobe Photoshop (.PSD)
- Autodesk AutoCad (.DXF)
- Scalable Vector Graphics (.SVG)
- PostScript (.EPS, .PS)
- TrueType (.TTF)
- XML Paper Specification (.XPS)
In Gmail now the attachments will come with “View” link. One can also upload and share these files in Google Docs, so that anyone can view the content using their browser.
