New Gmail feature-insert images in a jiffy
Gmail has come out with another of the “convenience features”. Now you can insert images in jiffy. Earlier, while sending images one used to insert images through the process of embedding.
Gmail blog today reported this feature addition. The feature has to be activated through the Google Labs feature. Once the option has been enabled, the insert image option will appear.

To view the images, ensure that one is in rich formatting mode. On clicking the image icon, the two insert options will be shown. One will be through uploading the image from your computer and the other will be through URL.

Gmail doesn’t show the images by default. This is a spam protection feature. One has to either click “Display images below” or “Always display images from …” to see the images.
