Your Facebook and Email Account Have Same Password – You are in Trouble.
We all are quite bugged up juggling with multiple passwords and having to remember them. Trouble gets more deeper when out of the total maize of passwords there are some which get expired after regular intervals. There are password manager tools which lets you manage all of your passwords. But there are issues with such tools too. All such problems lead to most of us using the same passwords for multiple accounts. Some even use the same passwords for banking.
A study has been conducted where it has been found that majority of Facebook users use their same email passwords for logging in to their facebook account. It’s really easy to remember your Facebook password when it’s the same as the password on the email address you use to sign into Facebook. Unfortunately, it’s insecure. If someone gets one of your passwords, they’ve got both. A new study from BitDefender says 75% of Web users don’t pay much attention to this issue and continue to use the same passwords in many of their accounts.
Additionally, the study revealed that 87 percent of email IDs, user names, and passwords gathered from various sources were still active. Facebook has become very popular amongst all generation of people. While posting their personal info sometime even very private issues and matter are shared amongst the group.
Cyber criminals often use some such common user habits to hack in to accounts and gather personal details and information.
