OpenOffice.org 3.2 is available for download now. Its a wonderful suite of free applications in Word processing, calculations, presentations etc and is a ideal substitute for Microsoft office. The earlier version OpenOffice.org 3.1 had a few glitches. As a result it could never rival Microsoft Office. OpenOffice 3.2 now takes much lesser startup time. And most importantly it supports Microsoft Office 2007. Even MS Office 2003 and MS Office 2000 doesn’t support MS Office 2007. One has to download Office 2007 viewer to actually open .docx and .xlsx files when working with Office XP/2000 environment. OpenOffice.org 3.2′s support for MS Office 2007  definitely makes it quite quite handy and useful. Now Mac and Linux users can open .docx and .xlsx files through OpenOffice.org 3.2 without worrying much about having to look around for Windows platform.
