Microsoft Bing Galloping

Bing has been growing at phenomenal pace. Month to Month, the growth for Bing has been 22% against Google’s 2% and Yahoo’s negative numbers.Nielson’s numbers for August 2009, places Bing at a market share of 10.7% of against Google’s 64.6% and Yahoo’s 16%. Nielson’s statistics reveal that the gap between Yahoo search and Bing has been closing quite fast and if the Bing’s phenomenal growth continues it will be some months when Bing will be able to overtake Yahoo.

MSN has been working hard and pumping lots of money in to its promotion. The worst losers in the search market share are Yahoo and Comcast. But they way Bing has been moving up the ladder, Google might be really worried. Search through advertising, has been the main money spinner for Google. And in case the continued bing Microsoft Bing Galloping technology starts gobbling up Google’s market share then MSN would have hit Google where it really matters. But Google will not be just sitting on its laurels. It will definitely come up with some new innovation to steal the thunder from Bing’s meteoric rise.

Some innovative features like Visual Search, Bing’s Travel, Bing Cashback, Bing’s Tweet and Bing’s enhanced search  have done wonders for its popularity. So Google, just watch out. Increase in competition will definitely make the world sit up and get the improved and quality search offerings.
