In Gmail, to have clutter free inbox, if you do not want to delete a message but want the same to be archived and stored for future use then it can be archived. This archived messages will go to All Mail where you can select and click them for bring back to inbox.
All Mail in Gmail is archive where all the mails you sent and received will be stored except for the deleted messages. To archive a message, you just have to select a message and click “archive” to move it to archive without deleting it.

Archived messages can also be moved back to inbox
If you want archived messages to move to inbox again, select All Mail by expanding “more” option from the left side. Select the message you like and click “Move to Inbox”. Your search mail option will continue to work and you will be able to find out your messages by typing the subject or other relevant search-able option in the search form.
