90,000 offenders are removed from MySpace
Social networking site MySpace has admitted to removing 90,000 registered sxx offenders from its site during last two years. Company has reported that figure is almost double of what has been their probable estimates. There is growing concern among denizens of world to protect children from these sxx offenders. These sites are for matured young people to communicate with each other MySpace and its rival Facebook together have close to 280 million users. Roy Cooper, the North Carolina attorney general and Richard Blumenthal the Connecticut attorney general are co heading the group on social networking sites. They have been in touch with both Facebook and MySpace to implement safe guards to ensure these sites remain safe and personal data of members below 18 years is not accessible to others.
MySpace even employs Sentinel SAFE as a solution to identify and remove these sxxual offenders. The two social networking sites have been quite popular amongst the younger generation. Amidst growing concern amongst the business leaders and watchdogs over safeguarding children from these offenders, the popular social networking sites have to do much more than what they have been doing currently.
