Why Linux Has Failed to Challenge Windows OS.

Linux has not been able to touch Windows even by a long pole. Windows today occupies close to 90% of the OS market. Remaining 10% market share is being fought between many other OS. Linux happens to be one of them. Over the years Linux distributions have improved a lot.

Client Linux desktop is steadily gaining ground.

Linux comparatively has better market share as the server operating system than a client operating system. Servers have been running Linux for quite sometime and it’s quite well accepted there. Windows OS no doubt provides everything, sometimes even more than what you would have bargained for but it’s dominance has stifled other rivals.
