ECBC Implementation Coming Soon?
ECBC came in to existence in 2007 as a code meant for voluntary adoption. It had remained that for almost 5 years now. But it appears authorities are slowly waking up to the importance of its implementation. Few states like Rajasthan, Orissa, Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and West Bengal have announced plans for making the ECBC implementation mandatory.
