Support Earth Hour 2010.
India is power starved nation. To motivate people here in India for Earth Hour is a tough task. But last time around the Earth Hour was a big success in Indian Metropolitan cities. This year on 27th March 2010 at 8:30 PM (Your local time) to support Earth Hour turn off your lights for one hour and be a good world citizen.
Earth Hour 2010 is expected to be the biggest climate event in the history. A WWF initiative, the last year saw tremendous response. In fact Earth Hour started in 2007. Sydney, Australia saw people pledging their support to climate change and about 2.2 million people puttinf off lights for one hour. Year 2008 saw about 50 million people supporting the cause and by March 2009, hundreds of millions people voluntarily opted to switch off the lights for one hour.
Earth Hour is organized by WWF. With almost 5 million supporters and a global network in over 100 countries, it’s one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organizations.
