Home Energy-Efficiency Market Poised for Big Growth.
Slowdown is relaxing a wee bit. Its official now. The developed world is also showing signs of recovery. And even though there was slowdown in the home-improvement business through the recession, the market for home energy-efficiency improvements is looking up. 
Tough times provide opportunities to sit back and take stock of the period just gone by. The lull, provided an opportunity to all leading players in the Energy Efficiency market to introspect. In US alone ,the Boulder-based market research and consulting firm projects that the market for energy-efficient home improvements nationwide will rise from $38.3 billion last year to $50.2 billion by 2014.
Such improvements include upgraded electrical systems, appliances and major equipment; heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; roofing replacements, and window/door replacements etc.
Developing countries like India is also expected to see increase in the Home Energy Efficiency products awareness. Energy auditing business will also grow significantly in the coming years. BEE-India, a government agency responsible for promoting energy and resource conservation is up against the time and trying its level best to make some difference in India. BEE-India has launched several ambitious programs starting with star rating of distribution transformers, Air conditioners, refrigerators and now homes.
No doubt journey is long and arduous but beginnings are praiseworthy.
