Selecting the right printer is always a difficult choice. A printer which is recommended for one user may not appropriate for the other. Recommendation or printer choice is guided by scores of factors. A person who prints a large number of colour sheets daily and another user who prints a large number of black white sheets can not be equated. Requirements of a user who is in to photo publishing business may be entirely different.
Decision to go in for a specific variant of printer is guided by mainly the usage pattern of a buyer. ConsumerCalculator.org is an online utility which compares various models of printers available in the market. If one can estimate the usage then this utility provides somewhat proper estimation to decide which printer variant will be most cost effective.
