Is Linux-Google combo inevitable?

google1 Is Linux Google combo inevitable? consultingAndroid has recently been successfully tried on netbooks by Mobile-Facts.com. They have compiled it within neat four hours and run it as OS on a netbook. Android now is expected to storm the market and the future generation mobiles. Android is Linux and therefore it can run on virtually anything. Google has many products under its stable. Gmail, Google docs, Google Calendar and now Google Chrome are few of the names.

Google with that many popular products and a stable operating system at its disposal can virtually dislodge any other application or the product worth its salt.

Some of the researchers have predicted that many netbooks in the times to come will have Android as OS. Further, Android may also be the OS for all future generation mobiles.

So that leaves us to the obvious question, what will be the scene in desktop PCs?  Some of the software market analysts have predicted Google partnering Linux for desktop OS. They feel that it is inevitable. Linux with the support of Google and its entire range of applications will become a behemoth, who will have the capacity to gobble up any or all software majors coming its way. So will that mean, end of Microsoft’s dominance as the OS leader.

Time only will tell…
