Class VI – beginning of the crucial phase in student’s life.

As your child enters class VI, you suddenly realize that the curricula has become quite extensive . Your child probably has celebrated his tenth birthday and his innate desire now is to be heard and given importance. Child now wants that he or she be given opportunity to speak and his opinion be seriously considered. Study wise also load has almost doubled from the earlier class and free time at his or her disposal has considerably reduced. This is the opportune moment when you are expected to give your child a little free hand. Don’t ever try to lecture, rather set examples. Child learns by watching parents, their habits, their daily rituals. How can you tell a child to brush teeth when you yourself don’t do it before going to bed. Don’t set low standards. Set high standards for your child to emulate. At this moment your child wants a personal space. Please provide as far as possible. Crux is to do it yourself rather than instructing your child.
