BatteryBar -a new battery metering feature for laptops
For all notebook lovers, checking battery at regular intervals, once it nears its limit, is a distraction. BatteryBar v3.1 in its beta provides a Vista style toolbar through which battery details like discharging rate, battery wear, status etc can be displayed.
Primarily, BatteryBar is free with limited features. Pro version costs $7.5 with all the features. The main features in pro version are critical battery alarms, notifications, customized settings. Charging feature in BatteryBar will even display the time needed to attain full charge. This is a definite improvement over battery meter which comes with Windows, XP or Windows 7. Battery meter in Windows OS, normally gives you a rough idea about percentage battery charge left and may give charging notifications.
A normal user may not need full version. Free version will essentially be able to take care of all the needs.
