Art of studying has lot to do with effectively utilizing the time available. Mere mugging without any concerted efforts will not take students far. As the foundation is built brick by brick so is the case with fundamentals. A student should evolve and mature while he or she goes through the daily regimen of studies. Marking important theme and punchlines are as important as indepth studies. There are many suggestions which can be given to young students but I would list down golden five rules which are important today, were important in past and shall remain as golden rules in the times to come.
Rule no 1. Go deep & have command over basics.
Superficial preparations will not take a student far. A child has to develop an attitude to understand the basics and go after them tirelessly till he/she gets satisfied. Devoting time on basics pays in long run. Initially it may seem like wasting time but it has been observed that a well understood topic sticks in mind for long and can be easily recalled back. While making efforts to understand the basics, try to focus on “KEY POINTS“. Mark them and absorb them.
